A cave on Prewitts Knob Road in Cave City with one-hour, half-mile guided tours at 58°F.
The story
Crystal Onyx Cave was discovered in 1960 by Cleon Turner at Prewitts Knob, near Cave City. Stairs, paths and bridges replaced the difficult first descent, and the cave opened for tours in 1965. It closed in 2009; Scott and Sara Sendtko later bought it and began rebuilding the steps, railings and lighting in 2014.
