Río Camuy Cave Park
Temporarily closed to visitors. Discover Puerto Rico lists the park as temporarily closed until further notice.
One of the largest cave systems in the Americas, with more than 220 caves. The guided visit starts with a short film and a tram ride, then a walk through Cueva Clara.
The story
The system was officially discovered in 1958, though archaeological evidence shows Taíno people used the caves long before, for ceremonies and shelter. The park is named after the Camuy River, which runs underground through it.
