Florida Caverns State Park
Marianna, FL, 65°F inside, from $16
A prehistoric spring inside a dry cave, where you snorkel or scuba dive in clear 72°F water under a hole in the cave roof. There's also camping, cabins and an RV park.
The current owners bought the cave in 1993 and turned what had been a simple dive site into an attraction. Fossils of extinct Pleistocene animals have been found here. According to the owners, the name comes from early settlers who saw steam rising from the opening on cold mornings and decided the devil lived there.
